Mark Your Calendars for These Shooting Competitions

Ready to hit the range and show off your skills as a marksman? Looking to get acquainted with shooters in your area? Here a few competitions around you that definitely hit the mark.

Deadwood Boys Club

The Deadwood Boys Club is one of the top USPSA clubs in Southern California. The Club, located on the California Tactical Academy Range in Piru, California, offers two types of competitions to accommodate sportsmen: a Level I USPSA Match with Classifier events running on the 1st and the 3rd Sunday of each month and a Level I USPSA match with No Classifer, running and the 2nd and 4th sunday of each month. Competition begin at 7:00 a.m. and on-site sign ups run until 11:00 a.m. 

North Texas Multigun

North Texas Multigun provides the Dallas/Ft. Worth area with a fine place to shoot 3 Gun and Falling Steel Matches each month. They shoot 3 Gun on the first weekend of each month and Falling Steel on the 4th weekend of each month at their home range in Cresson, Texas.

Texas Steel Competition

Texas Steel Competition (“TSC”) is an independent, not-for-profit pistol, all-steel-target shooting club. TSC holds two separate pistol steel matches per month. These include the big bore, .38-.45 caliber, and .22LR. These competitions are designed to promote safe shooting and familiarization with firearms, and both are a great opportunity for shooters of all skill levels.

Texas Tactical Competitions

Texas Tactical is host to a number of Tactical Matches per month, including the Tactical Carbine, Handgun/IDPA, Defensive Shotgun, Three Gun “Combat” Matches, and Night/Lowlight shoots. Four Handgun/IDPA matches are held per month throughout the Central Texas area, along with a Tactical Carbine Match on the 1st Saturday of each month at Cedar Ridge Range between Austin and San Antonio. These competitions are also host to several renowned instructors and trainers over the span of the year.
